Frequently Asked Questions
Does LeadShield replace my WordPress security plugin?
No. LeadShield focuses on email quality, risky IP detection, form/checkout protection, and SafeLink traffic pre-screening. It should be used alongside normal WordPress security best practices.
Where are the rules managed?
Rules are managed in the SaaS dashboard under each site’s Protection Settings. The WordPress connector is intentionally lightweight.
Can SafeLink protect any website?
SafeLink can pre-screen traffic before redirecting visitors to any URL. It does not protect the destination site’s internal forms unless that site also uses the connector or API.
Why did a proxy/VPN visitor still see the site?
For sitewide blocking, make sure the cloud policy enables Sitewide IP/Page Visit, IP Layer is enabled, connector sitewide hook is enabled, admin bypass is off during testing, and full-page cache has been purged.
What happens if the cloud API is temporarily unavailable?
The connector supports fail-open or fail-closed mode. Fail-open is safer for live websites because it prevents accidental lockouts if the API is unavailable.
Can I use LeadShield without WordPress?
Yes. SafeLinks work without WordPress. Developers can also integrate the universal API into custom websites and apps.
